French Bakery Franchise Opportunities

The particular category around baked goods and French franchise opportunities have seen a general increase in the U.S. Franchise market in recent years.  This market segment presents a significant opportunity for franchise investors if in the right market and with the right operator in place, they tend to have stronger margins and generally impressive consumer demand.

  1. Saveurs du Monde Café ( )

Great concept, simple operating model and small size allows for a lower initial investment.  2 corporate locations and would be open to negotiations on a better franchise arrangement.  Based in South Carolina, we know the concept and the people behind this very well.  Franchise Marketing Systems supported the development of this brand and helped the French bakery franchise come to market in the U.S.

  1. Apple Spice

Apple Spice Junction is a fresh deli concept that specializes in Corporate Catering and Box Lunch Delivery. Developed in 1988, Apple Spice Junction began franchising in 2003 and can now be found in 18 states, with plans to expand selectively over the next few years.  The Apple Spice Junction franchisee enjoys a rewarding lifestyle that is not typical of the food industry. Because our restaurants focus on the business community we mirror their hours. We are not generally open in the evenings or the weekends. This creates a more rewarding lifestyle for our employees as well. They are not required to work multiple shifts allowing the company to retain employees and reduces turnover.

  1. Middle Spoon ( )

Opening the doors in July of 2011 The Middle Spoon has been very well received, using fresh local ingredients and changing their menu with the seasons. Now we’re expanding across North America and will hopefully coming to your neighborhood soon. Great desserts, awesome drinks, amazing décor, bring some friends and we think you’ve found the recipe for a perfect evening.  3 locations, 2 in Canada and 1 in Houston, Texas.  Great concept and there is a location relatively close by.  Baked goods and deserts in combination with high end cocktails.  This model worked closely with Franchise Marketing Systems to bring the brand to market and launch the franchise system.  Chris Conner, President of Franchise Marketing Systems recommends this model and has been directly involved in the development of the brand in the U.S.

  1. Cinnaholic – ( )

In 2010, Shannon and Florian Radke decided to put their passions to work, combining Shannon’s love of baking and the couples’ dedication to a vegan lifestyle. They started Cinnaholic, a bakery business that serves gourmet, vegan cinnamon rolls that are dairy-free, egg-free, cholesterol-free, and incredibly delicious! To top it off, they added to the experience by offering over 50 flavorful frosting’s and specialty toppings, giving the customer the ability to create their very own gourmet, custom cinnamon roll.

In 2014, the couple appeared on Shark Tank, which launched the brand into the national spotlight! Today, with a new Cinnaholic bakery opening every two weeks, the brand is poised to become a household name in America and all over the world!
